Cookies in Use
 
I have been watching the Fresh from the Oven Challenge for a little while now and played with bread a little last year. This year I am hoping to participate in the challenge and hope to push my bread baking skills.

This month's challenge is being hosted by Purely Food and is Flatbreads. I used the Nigel Slater recipe suggested by Claire which actually turns out to be an adapted Paul Hollywood recipe. I was cooking mine to go with a korma so I added crushed garlic, fennel, cardamon and star anise to mine. I ground the spices finely and added them to the dough when I was rolling out. The flavouring was really nice and subtle but worked really well with the korma. I found the flatbreads really easy to make and froze six of them for lunches another time.

These look so much better than the packaged variety you buy in the supermarkets.

Nice job on the flatbreads. Fresh from the Oven was one of the first blog challenges I ever did, but I havne't done it for ages.
