In my mind there is nothing nicer than receiving a lovingly homemade gift. I have hand picked a couple of the tutorials and bakes from my site which make lovely and fairly simple homemade gifts. All the links will take you to the recipe or tutorial.
First up we have some bakes. We tend to go out for a meal for Mother's Day but always pop back to someone's house for tea and cake.
I believe in the power of homemade cake for showing someone how much you care. I don't think you can go wrong with cake. Here we have yummy chocolate brownies, zesty lime and coconut cake and a summery tasting strawberry and banana cake.

If your mum is on a diet she might prefer something she can wear instead of eat! In this case make this pretty beaded bracelet or if you feel a bit more daring try needle felting a jumper or cardigan with a pretty pattern.
These simple scrubs are so quick to make up that they work really well as a last minute gift. The fruit scrub can be made with any fruit and the peppermint foot scrub could be made with a favourite essential oil.
The last three gift tutorials are for the home and take a little more time but are definitely worth it. The owl doorstop is super cute and the draught excluder could be appliqued with any pattern you like. The teacup candles can be made with your mum's favourite fragrance.
I hope this post provided some inspiration and help if you work stuck for homemade Mother's Day gifts. Do let me know if you try any of these.
