
This recipe was given to me by my mum so I am not sure where it is from and it is in oz and lbs.
Ingredients
1lb cooking apples - peeled and grated
1lb onions - chopped very small
8oz dried dates - chopped very small
8oz sultanas
1lb demerara sugar
3/4 pint vinegar
1tsp salt
pepper
1tsp cumin
2tbsp curry powder
Method
Place all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix together. Cover and leave to stand for 24 hours. Place in sterilised jars, seal and cover. Leave for 6 weeks to mature.
Feel free to play around with the fruit depending on what you have and experiment with the spices. Let me know if you try anything different and how it turns out.
