We had a fabulous wedding and I really enjoyed adding our own little homemade touches to the day. I was careful not to set myself too many DIY activities but ended up doing quite a few of the essential bits for the wedding but I didn't do the cake as I figured that would be stressful.
Here is a little run down of the things I did craft.

The first thing I made was the invites. I have a lovely friend who suggested and offered the use of her Japanese Gocco screen print machine. It works by making a type of stencil using a special filter and a UV light. You then use this stencil to screen print your pattern. We had a lovely day making all the prints. Next up I wrapped the invites in paper doilies and tied them with ribbon. We didn't really have a theme for our wedding but turquoise and purple were the main colours we chose.
I found a gorgeous dress but switched out some of the beads - for can you guess it - turquoise beads. I had to meticulously sew through all the beads just in case all the beads had been sewn on the same thread so this took me 6 hours in total but it was lovely to add something myself to the dress.
Despite deciding not to make the cake I couldn't resist doing some baking and made 450 of these little biscuits as the favours. They were flavoured with lemon zest.
I continued the theme of the doilies with the favours packaging and the place cards. I also decorated jars for the table and made sure we had some matching wellies and umbrellas for the day.
Now I will leave you with a couple other pictures.
