This is a little guide on how to wet felt. They are plenty of tutorials online for example at craftster but I thought I would share my example here. Once you have learnt I'm sure you can come up with far better things than this.
Equipment
Wool tops in different colours can be bough at George Weil or GillianGladRag
Bubble wrap
2 similar sized pieces of netting (an old net curtain will do)
A water bottle filled with water and a bit of washing up liquid

First decide on a design. I chose to create a tree with grass and sky. Now place a piece of netting over the bubble wrap. Pick out the relevant wool tops and layer these on top of the netting. Criss cross the fibers over each other to make the base stronger. I started with my sky and grass. The base will need to be quite thick as the fibers will matt together and shrink when they become wet. Then add your design for example the tree. Because of the nature of wet felting you will not be able to create a very precise or intricate design.
When you are happy with design add another layer of netting on top. Gently dowse the felt in water and washing up liquid. Now take a smaller piece of bubble wrap and using this rub the felt all over up and down and sideways. Make sure to turn it over and rub the other side too. You will need to do this for a long time. When the design is felted you will be able to peel the netting away without the felt coming apart.
When the felting is done rinse it in water and leave to dry. Now it's your turn! Do post any links of anything you make.
